sootsim install-desktop
Fetch the right platform artifact (dmg / AppImage / exe) from the public release feed and install it into the OS-native location. The CLI + daemon are the canonical sootsim surface; the desktop GUI is optional. The installed app self-updates via electron-updater afterward.
